Help Hocus Walk Again: Urgent Medical Fund

Tax deductible
As November rolls around, we realized just how the past 10 months have flown by. With so much that has been going on this year, it feels like the year just started!

The one thing that hasn't changed is our mission to save animals, give them the best possible care, and find their forever families.

Unfortunately, we do not have a money tree, but what we do have is several pups with urgent medical needs.

Right now, our most pressing and urgent case is Hocus. Hocus came to us from Animal Care and Control. She was underweight, neglected, and suffering from mange. Now, at around 3 months old, she was doing great – until she wasn’t. Saturday morning she was fine, playing, walking, trotting around. A few hours later, she couldn’t walk, bear weight, and was crying. She was clearly in severe distress. She was rushed to the vet and given antibiotics and steroids. Without a specialist neurologist consult, we can’t really see what is going on. Nothing is broken, but the way her legs are bending and her condition, the vet said that is the next step. Neurologists for people are hard enough to get appointments with; for a little puppy, it is even harder. We have an appointment set up for 11/18, but we are sick with worry. We want her better, we do not want her to suffer, and we need to know if something can be done for her. What we are desperate and must do now is raise the funds to help her. Between the consultation ($300) and CT imaging study ($3,000 - $6,000).

Hocus is trying to move around; she doesn’t know she can’t, and she is a little fighter. We can’t turn our back on her when she needs us the most.

Please help us help her – every dollar counts – share it far and wide and get this little lady the testing she needs to make her walk easy and be healthy again.

If every follower on our page just donated $5, we would be able to care for Hocus and the other medical cases we have right now. Hocus is the most urgent; she’s just a baby, and we need to have a plan of action to get her better, and for that, she needs to see a specialist and have a CT scan.

**UPDATE - Hocus' MRI appointment has been moved up to MONDAY, Nov 18th!
