Help Hollie’s family.

From the Boland family.
We are completely devastated to have to write this. On October 31st at 4:05am, our beloved Hollie Boland, at only 30 years old, took her last breath at the QE2 hospital and was surrounded by her loved ones during her final moments. She was loved by so many, especially her three babies.
La’miah (13) Jaylah (12) and Teriq (4).
Her children are now left with no mother, and no father. The system has failed so many people in this matter. We have a long road ahead of us, but so does Hollie’s children who have to live with this horrific incident, for the rest of their life.
Hollie took the most pride in taking care of her kids, nobody could ever replace a mother but her babies will be so loved, supported, and taken care of.
Hollies story.
Hollie was born in St. Johns Newfoundland, at the Grace hospital December 20th, 1992. From the minute hollie was first brought home, she was already so loved. Especially by her mother Carol. Hollie was her one and only pride and joy.
Hollie is now in heaven with her pre decreased grandparents (Patricia Boland, Joseph Boland), uncle (Billy) and aunts (Pauline, Angela, Mary-Ann) and Hollie’s special uncle Charlie
Currie, and step father Gary Phillips.
At the age of two, Hollie and her family moved to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, where she met all of her friends and started school. Hollies early years consisted of being with her good friends, her special cousins Tyler, and Brittany whom were more considered her brother and sister and Hollie’s aunt Geraldine Boland. (Gerl)
Hollie’s great friends included friendships of 20+ years, and she was loved by so many.
Hollie met the love of her life at the age of 14, and by 15 she was pregnant with her first daughter, La‘Miah Marie Boland. Hollie then became pregnant again at 17 with her second daughter Jaylah Harmony Boland and by 18 graduated highschool with her babies and family by her side. In 2018 Hollie welcomed the son she always wanted, Teriq Mateo Boland and she was complete. Hollie and her family moved to a new home in East Preston after having her first two daughters, they had sheep’s and chickens and lots of space for her children to play. Hollie then went on to become a Human support worker, and worked all over her community where she was raised, Dartmouth. Hollie took pride in her work and loved her job, she loved helping people and taking care of them and doing little things for them. The extra little things that showed you she loved her job.

During the last 5 months of Hollie’s life, it was flipped upside down. From losing her home, to being assaulted multiple times on police record, and let down by judges who did not properly evaluate Hollie’s situation. She was not protected by the only people who could have protected her, and on October 30th, 2023, Hollie was murdered. Something that would have been prevented, if proper action was taken to help her in the first place.
Hollie is gone, but she leaves behind her children who have lost so much, and have a long road ahead of them, with the care of their family, we will all make it through this tragic sad incident.

Below is Hollie’s news article so you can learn more about her Tragic story. Thank you for all the support, kind words, and stories and memories that you all have shared, and together we will never forget Hollie’s name. Our holly dolly sweet girl.
