Help Holly avoid foot amputation
Donation protected
Holly Cousens was born with club feet. She has undergone 25 surgeries over the course of her lifetime to address this birth defect that effects 1 in 1,000 people. Her family was told at the time of her birth that she would never walk, but she defied all odds and learned to walk with braces and casts. Over the course of time, the bones in her feet have degenerated to the point that the doctors have told her that her only other recourse is to amputate both feet. Then she discovered a miraculous new option through ExoSym, which has been available to veterans with orthopedic injuries.
Holly is scheduled for casting of the non-amputation prosthetics in early December 2021. They will cost $20,000 and are not covered by insurance. Payment in full is due January 5, 2022.
Any money over and above this amount will be put into a fund for the treatment of other people with this debilitating birth defect.
Please help Holly stay walking and who knows, she may even be able to run for the first time in her life!
