Help Holly to Move to a Safe Country Due to Transphobic Law
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I am helping my friend to raise funds to escape to a safe country, she has written a short message about her story:
"I'm Irisia a.k.a. Holly. 2,5 years ago, with the help of donors, I moved from my home country to Georgia (Caucasus country) bc I felt that after some events happened that seriously affected the political situation in my country, every worst thing that was a speculation of marginal people will happen in the future, including the full discrimination of LGBTQ+ people up to and including imprisonment, which in fact has become a living nightmare that will happen to me if I won't move out of Georgia.
The thing is that recently the Georgian parliament has adopted a bunch of anti-LGBTQ and transphobic laws, including the ban of HRT and the ban on obtaining a residence permit for trans people. And as a public transgirl who can't legalize here, these laws hit me very hard, because if there is one public offense, especially looking a bit feminine with women's clothes outside, I will be deported back to my home country where I will be imprisoned just for being a trans person.
I want to apply for asylum in a European country, and I need money for the whole moving process, including Schengen visa, air tickets and living for a few months before I find a local job there."
Please help Irisia if you can!
Thank you so much!
