Our Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, friend, teacher and mentor - Holly White passed at sunrise on April 12th.
Holly had been battling breast cancer, along with other serious health issues such as Trigeminal Neuralgia, severe cataracts and Lymphedema since 1982, and most recently brain cancer over the past 5 years - which is all probably something that you might not have ever realized about her. Holly never complained about her painful and serious conditions, it always was her priority to just live a happy life where she helps others.
Throughout the course of the past nearly 40 years of her battle with cancer, Holly had undergone countless treatments of chemotherapy, surgery, radiation and more. She had been on a regime of chemotherapy every 3 weeks for the past decade, and always schedules it around her lessons. It was of the utmost importance to Holly that her focus is on her students first and foremost, and that her terminal conditions never got in the way of her incredible instruction or distracted her students in any way. Through it all, she maintained a full work load and the most optimistic attitude. Her family looks up to her as the greatest and most humble fighter they have ever known.
Holly's condition worsened dramatically in recent weeks due to brain inflammation after a gamma knife treatment on brain lesions in late 2020. Anyone who knewHolly knows that she is a rare bright light in our world. She constantly had a smile on her face and makes sure that everyone around her knows that they are loved. She wanted everyone to be happy, it was her number one priority. Her family made sure that nothing but the same happiness and love that she gives to everyone else was reflected back to her during her time of need. For Holly, that meant that she was at home surrounded with her family in the space that she loves.
Holly’s family - Walt, Jenny & Kai; Jenny, Bobby & Yana; Nancy and Joey; Scott and Terri; Tom and Ruth Ann; Dave and Theresa provided her with a love-filled home base in Delmont and were all at her side when she passed. Holly’s family believes in the power of love and energy and wants everyone to know that Holly was grateful for every single prayer, good vibe, and ounce of healing love sent her way.
