Help Holmdel Native Chen-Chuen Hu Fight TEN
Donation protected
Hello everyone, we are here to fundraise for our good friend Chen-Chuen Hu. He is a Holmdel native, graduate of Holmdel High School, track star, small business owner, and family man. He is the father to Christian Hu and Claire Hu, both graduates of Holmdel High school.
This past Thanksgiving, Chen-Chuen Hu was diagnosed with Stevens-Johnson syndrome, a rare, life threatening disorder of skin and mucous membranes. It results in painful rashes that spreads and blisters that are prone to infection. His diagnosis has evolved into Toxic Epidermis Necrolysis, which requires even more intensive care and can take months to recover. His current condition is very serious. He has been battling at Temple University Hospital in the ICU/Burn Unit for 4 days now. 40-50% of his skin has been damaged. He will undergo surgery soon to mitigate the effects.
His hospital stay could extend several weeks. Adding the costs of an airlift, overnight ICU stays, continuous medication, and surgery over the course of many days, the Hu family will have to endure a very costly medical bill.
During this holiday season, we ask for any amount of donation which will relieve the family’s anxiety over medical bills so that they can focus on praying and providing support to Chen-Chuen. All funds raised will be directly transferred to the Hu family to help cover medical bills.
If you are unable to donate, the family greatly appreciates prayers and sharing of this page.
Thank you so much for reading and supporting. We will continue to provide updates as we hear more.
