We need your help to home a stray mama cat and her kittens!

For the past few months, a stray cat has been living in our community garden. From the look of her, it is obvious she has kittens and is likely still nursing, but no one knows exactly where the kittens are or how many there are.

For the health and safety of the mother cat, her kittens, and the environment in the garden colony, we want to catch the cats, get them neutered and other necessary vet care, and find homes for them. We need funds to cover supplies to capture and care for the cats and to cover any vet or shelter expenses.

Since we don't know yet how many kittens there are, we are setting the goal a bit high, but anything we get will go towards the cats and finding them safe and happy homes. If we hand the cats over to a local shelter to have their health care and adoptions taken care of, the cost will be about $200 per cat. To be on the safe side, I am counting on six kittens plus the mother, which would bring us up to $1400. The other $600 is for food, treats to help the mother cat trust us, cat carriers, litter, and a litter box for any time we may have to house the cats in our apartment before they can be handed over to a shelter, and any other miscellaneous supplies that might be necessary. Vet care might also be needed.
