Help Homeless Veteran & His Sister Find Shelter

Hello beautiful people!

We need your help to put these elderly siblings in a better position. Their names are Maria & Johnny and they have been homeless for many years. They have not had much luck with shelters or any local services.

I have drove past the bus stop at all hours of the day and they are almost always there. At night I can see their silhouettes in the dark. They sleep sitting up on the bench. They are there in rain, shine, day and night and it's just not sitting right with me that at their age they are not getting the help they need.

I finally built up the courage to pull my car over tonight to find out more about their situation. They said many people have offered to help them in the past but no one has ever followed through. They were skeptical that their situation would change but they were grateful that I took the time to speak with them.

We  are working on figuring out a more permanent situation for the both of them but in the meantime we would like to provide them with a meal, toiletries, a hot shower and warm bed to sleep in for a few nights at a hotel. Thursday, June 24th, is Johnny's 73rd birthday and we'd like to make it the best birthday he's had in years. He is a veteran and the least we can do to thank him for his services is to try to get him and his sister off the streets.
