Help Alex get to Chicago!

Alex, a recent high school graduate, is set to attend the University of Chicago this fall on a full-ride scholarship, majoring in astrophysics & physics. An incredible student, Alex graduated #4 in his class with a 5.4 GPA.

To know Alex is to love Alex! He has a kind heart and a great sense of humor. He's had to overcome a lot of issues due to poverty and periods of homelessness in his childhood.

Alex is set to leave for Chicago in early September but has been thrown into homelessness in the interim. This effort ensures he has a safe place to live and food to eat until he leaves for Chicago in 11 weeks and will help him get clothing and other things he will need to start school this fall. These funds will cover the costs of a safe place to stay, food and a AirBnB or hotel for the month of July in North Augusta ($50/night), and then the month of August in Columbia ($60-$75/night) where he will have a research internship at the University of South Carolina before leaving for Chicago in early September. It will also help him get a laptop for college, as well as clothing and basic things he will need to start school.
