This past week, Honey has been in and out of the vet hospital for checkups thinking she had some GI issues. Her symptoms took a drastic turn in the middle of the week when she could barely lift her head up and she had a hard time breathing. The x-rays showed she had pneumonia, cutting her air capacity in half. She stayed some nights in their ICU chamber under the 24-hour watch of the vets. They sent lots of pictures and texted updates throughout the day and night. It helped distract us from the vet bill that was adding up...

Halloween wasn't the same without our little hot dog running around. Thankfully, she was discharged as soon as her oxygen level reached an acceptable level. She has a few weeks of recovery ahead of her. Some days look promising, others, are terrifying. So, the support from family and friends is greatly appreciated and alleviates some of the stress so we can focus on helping our sweet little girl fight to get better!
