Help Honor Alex Brown's Memory
On Step. 27th, 2024 Our brother, Alexander Brown, was a victim of a horrific Gun Violence incident. Alex was admitted to St.Joseph Hospital due to 4 Gun Shot wounds to the back. One piercing his left lung, One going into his diaphragm, One going into his spleen, And One going into his spine being penetrated into his C10 & C11 Vertebrae. Alex was on life support for 10 days to help recover from this tragedy. After being under the care of this facility, the medical team had came to the conclusion that they had provided all the care and procedures to the best of their ability for our brother Alex. They removed his Spleen and repaired his diaphragm.
On September 29th he had developed a blood infection after aspiration transferring to the lungs. They recommended for Alex to be transferred to Banner University Hospital, Cardio Vascular Intensive Care Unit (CV-ICU) for a more intense healing through an Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation Systematic Equipment (ECMO). Our Brother fought for his life continuously for 15 days at this second facility.
Unfortunately after multiple procedures of Bronchoscopy (15), one everyday. Discovering that they had came upon the result that the Tube that was inserted for the ECMO process was developing fungus. Also Resulting in blood poising, blood colts, and hemorrhaging. On October 19th 2024 the medical team notified our family that they had taken every initiative to try to save our brother. They told us Alex's lung were unable to recover from excessive blood clots and hemorrhaging. Our brother Alex was the 4th child out of 8 siblings. He leaves behind 3 sisters 4 brothers nieces . Alex also had a mental disability, which he overcame daily. Our brother was robbed for his life that he had yet to continue. He was a loving, outstanding, beautiful, courageous optimistic soul.
Upon this tragedy we are asking the community that is able to donate to our family to assist us with any financial needs to ensure Alex has a beautiful remembrance. As a family we love and appreciate prayers for our brother.
