Help Honor Amanda Faulkner's Final Wishes

My name is Chandra Woolfolk. Amanda Faulkner is my sister. On 08/09/24, I received a call that my sister had been found in her apartment. She almost bled out from ulcers in her GI tract and esophagus. I raced to Indiana to be her advocate because, besides her daughter, I'm the closest family member my sister has. Our parents died while we were young.
Amanda was like a mother to me in my childhood and she is the reason I live in Missouri now. I owe a lot to her, unfortunately, her life choices drove a wedge between us and I haven’t talked to my sister in years.
When I arrived in Indiana, I worked with the doctors and nurses to wake my sister up off her ventilator, so we could assess her chances of survival. On top of multiple blood transfusions, her liver had cirrhosis and her kidneys were completely shutting down. She had what the doctors called alcohol brain and explained if she survived she would be in assisted living. We got 2 days with her that she was up and able to talk to us, after we tried dialysis. Unfortunately, after the 2 days of continuous dialysis, her chances of survival and happiness were near zero.
On Friday, August 16th, I had to make the decision to either keep trying against doctor recommendations or move her to hospice so she could pass peacefully. She was transferred to the Parkview Randallia hospice center on the 17th.
It’s been so difficult for me to even think about making funeral arrangements because she is still alive, but she is basically in a coma and is completely unresponsive. Between my brother and I, we were able to get Amanda to give us her dying wishes and she had asked to be buried.
The starting prices for an immediate burial is almost 3,600. I have secured her a plot and I am looking for help raising the funds to bury my sister and get her a nice headstone.
I've never been in charge of making these kinds of arrangements and it’s all been extremely hard on me emotionally. I ask your help to please assist me in giving her what she wanted. I’m doing my best and I’m extremely thankful for all the kind words and love being sent my way. Any money left over I plan to give to her 8-year-old daughter, Kyah.
Thank you for anything and everything.
