Help Honor Basil Brown's Memory and Seek Justice

Donation protected
In April of this year, my family experienced the traumatic loss of my beloved Basil Brown, 16 days shy of their 22nd birthday. As a father to my baby, my child, my kid, and my best friend, the news absolutely annihilated me and my family. I had to travel and pay for the entirety of the final arrangements and travel costs for other family members. I was not allowed to keep a share of the ashes from their mother so that I could inter them, which is what I intend to do. So, after hearing of the fall they took, 5 stories, where they were left on the ground uncovered for people to gawk and video and post on X for the world to comment on, after lies and cover-ups from the University PD and the administration, after an unauthorized non-independent forensic autopsy, and after 8 days of fighting with their mother over the arrangements and whether I would receive any help from their mother or permission to keep a share of the cremains so that I could hold a memorial, which I did without them, and inter them in the family plot.

I was making about 40k a year and trying to save to move to NYC or L.A. by the fall, which I have done. However, the cost of all that has happened and the lawsuits I have to file and so on have left me in a new town far from home with dwindling resources that I would have had under better circumstances.

I am making this public appeal so that I may sue those responsible for allowing 32 hours to pass between a wellness check and a suicide attempt and their death, also their therapist and the school that referred her to Basil. I, also have to sue for my share of the ashes so that they may be interred in a religious ceremony and if you are so inclined to help get justice for Basil, whether it be to have their spectacular story told or to finally have an internment and a marker as monument to the light they brought to this dark world.
They were working on projects through their university with Nasa and they were about to work on a similar project with the NSA learning how to program sattelites. Basil was a superstar, they had 32 hours to contact us after the wellness check where we could have easily got them to a hospital. 32 hours. I have never asked for this kind of help and certainly there were people in my and Basils life that could easily help but refuse so I am coming to you to be empowered to fight for justice and peace for my child who many of you knew and lived and was to me the driving force of my life for 22 yrs. I will never stop fighting for them ever but I have 6 months left to file a lawsuit and need to move quickly. Please help and thank you from the bottom of my heart.
