Help honor Christian Fern & support his 5 boys

This fundraiser has been put together to help Christian's family with all immediate costs associated with his passing. As well as helping with expenses involving his 5 children that range from age 18 thru 3.

Christian Anthony Fern, 41 of Orlando Florida, passed away unexpectedly on October 14, 2021. When I received the phone call from Nicole that her brother had passed away, my heart sank to the floor. I was in shock and immediately felt helpless in consoling her through the phone. I could not believe my dear friend and her sweet mother Diane were going through another very tragic and difficult moment in their lives again. It was only five short months ago their family lost Nicole's father Jim, to a battle with cancer. Barely able to process and grieve Jim's passing, Nicole and Diane are now faced with having to process and grieve the loss of their brother and son. In addition to that, Christian was the primary caregiver for his boys. They immediately had to go into survival mode to console, care for and support Averie (18), Caiden (16), Deandre (9), Noah (5) and Tristan (3).

I met Chris many years ago. I had seen him occasionally when their family was together. He was a quiet, gentle man and a very caring father. I kept up with his life mostly through Nicole. He was a graduate of Western Illinois University where he received a degree in Health Service Management. He went on to receive his teaching certificate from Indiana University and his Masters of Education from the University of Cincinnati. Christian worked in Orlando as a Behavior Analyst in the field of autism where he touched the lives of many families.

He is survived by his 5 sons, his mother, Diane Fern, his sister, Nicole Fern (Michael Weston) his niece Skyler. He is preceded in death by his father Jim Fern. He will be missed by his aunt and uncles, cousins, niece, and his many friends and clients.

During this tragic time, many people have asked what they can do to help. Sadly, Chris did not have a will or life insurance set up. So, this fund will contribute to the unexpected costs of the funeral, attorney fees and every day expenses for the children and to help alleviate the responsibilities that have fallen on Diane and Nicole. Please keep Averie, Caiden, Deandre, Noah and Tristan in your hearts and mind as you consider giving. A donation of any size will help support them and is very much appreciated.
