Help Honor David Mitchell Jr.'s Memory
Donation protected
In memory of my husband, David Morris Mitchell, Jr, our daughters, Maddie and Payton Mitchell, and Myah Shaw, and I are organizing a Celebration of Life gathering of family and friends to be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Noble Park, Paducah, Kentucky, at 2 PM. (Date is tentative) We are also choosing to have David's remains cremated. The three daughters and I have each decided to have a portion of his ashes put in small keepsake containers. The remainder of David's ashes will be buried in his burial plot at Wickliffe Cemetery next to his dad's cemetery plot in Ballard County, Kentucky. We would also like to have a short graveside service (date and time yet to be determined).
I have recently started a new part-time job; however, we still do not have the funds to cover the sudden expenses surrounding David's passing. Social Security has discontinued David's monthly disability payments, and we will not be able to apply for survivors' benefits until Dec. 2, 2024 (it was the earliest available appointment date they had). This means that we have no money to support our monthly needs until after my appointment with Social Security. Yes, I have a part-time job, but I have been out of work since David passed on October 31st, and I am not sure when they will allow me to return to work.
