Help Honor Douglas Steele's Memory

I am Lilly, also known as Delta83 on several corners of the internet. My grandfather, Douglas Lee Steele, passed away today (07/25/2024) at 09:54am due to complications with organ failure. He was 60 years old when he passed, being born 02/14/1964.

Doug was a veteran and handyman, as well as was a father and grandfather. He fought in Desert Storm in the navy, and he served 12 years in total in the American Military. His dream was to be a carpenter. He even owned his own company named Douglas Steele Enterprises, where he worked on houses. He was married and had two children, Jessica M. Steele and Douglas E. Steele. Him and his spouse were separated until officially getting a divorce in 2015. He was my grandfather, and always will be my Papa Doug.

He enjoyed having fun, and being disabled with terrible back issues really conflicted with that part of him. Regardless of the pain he was in, he would always manage to make us laugh, or have deep and meaningful conversations. But, he truly was not happy in his last moments. Now he is in Valhalla, where he can meet his dog Turtle, who sadly passed when he moved into our town 4 years ago.

We need help raising money for his funeral expenses. My father did a down payment of $1,000, but we still need money to cover other fees, such as cremation and services. Any amount is appreciated.
