Help Honor Edwin Martinez's Memory

It is with a heavy heart that I share this post today, in honor of Edwin Martinez, known to many as Damien. His sudden and unexpected passing has left us all reeling with shock and sadness.

I write this on behalf of his sister Karolina, who is struggling to find the words to express her grief. Edwin was not just a friend but a beloved member of our family, particularly close to my youngest son Zechariah.

Their bond was unbreakable from the moment they met in Palmdale. Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations were always brighter with Edwin's presence. He had a kind and generous spirit, always willing to lend a helping hand.

I still remember the day we first met when I registered my son at Pete Knight High School. Little did I know that this encounter would mark the beginning of a lasting connection. Edwin found his way into our hearts and home, becoming an integral part of our lives.

Despite moving away from Palmdale, he remained close to my boys. Zechariah even moved in with him for some time as they pursued their dreams together. Edwin was dedicated to his education at Cosmetology school while also making sure to prioritize his sister and grandmother.

Yesterday brought news that shattered our world – a tragic accident took Edwin away from us far too soon. My son received the devastating call while on his way to the gym, unable to comprehend the loss.

In this difficult time, I humbly ask for any support you can offer towards helping with burial costs for this young man whose life was cut short so tragically. All proceeds will go towards providing him with a dignified farewell and closure for those who loved him dearly.

Your kindness and generosity during this challenging time are greatly appreciated. Let us come together as a community to honor Edwin's memory and support his family in their time of need.
