Help Honor Gladys Esther Falcon's Legacy

My name is Vanessa Gladys Gomez. It is with deep sadness that I create this page for our beloved Gladys Esther Falcon who passed yesterday, August 1. Gladys had a stroke back in 2012 and spent many years in a rehabilitation hospital. After many illnesses and many surgeries, she was able to come home and be cared for by her husband, Eliseo, her daughter, Helen, and her grandson, Jonathan.

She was recently battling breast cancer but ultimately the passing of her beloved husband was just too much. After his funeral, she continued to attend all doctor's appointments and therapies which all reported back with a plan to allow her time to grieve but with a turn of events, her body forced a hospitalization in which all medical capacities were reached and ultimately came to her sudden passing.

Our family just put her husband, Eliseo Ortega Falcon, to rest in June and were not expecting to lose her so soon. While there were certain funds in place for his funeral costs purchased by him, the total cost for a funeral took us by surprise. With such a short time to recoup, we are currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Gladys' funeral. The goal we have listed is comparable to what we spent on Eliseo's memorial service so that we can honor her in the same manner.

We will be meeting with the funeral director today, August 2nd, to finalize service arrangements and will make any updates here with the formal announcement.

Update: Services will be held on Monday, August 12th, 2024. Although the original fees for the burial plots were paid for by my grandfather back in 1990, we are still responsible for the fees to open and close the plot as well as administration fees.
