Help Honor Gloria Garibay's Memory

Donation protected
It is with extreme sadness that we unexpectedly had to say goodbye to the matriarch and the backbone of our family, Gloria Garibay. We now find ourselves suddenly in need to seek help for funeral, cremation, and hospital costs for our dear Mom, Friend, Sister, Aunt, and Wife.
Gloria Dimas was born in 1950 and grew up in Fresno. She was a go-getter and always knew what she wanted. She became happily married to David Garibay in 1974 and soon after they had two children that completed their beautiful family. Gloria was able to secure a job that she enjoyed working over the years with PG & E. She worked there for 40 years until she retired. Gloria selflessly took care of her family; her kids, her parents, her in-laws, her husband, and she later moved in her older sister, Mary, and became her care-giver as well. She was always concerned with what others needed, and never put herself first, and even when she struggled with her own health issues, she never complained.
Gloria enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, she loved Holidays, but loved most of all spending time with her best friend, and husband, Dave. Sadly, Dave has now lost his best friend, his "Babe". Gloria and David celebrated 50 years of marriage on June 1st, 2024.
Gloria is survived by her loving husband and daughter, David and Sara Garibay. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her cherished son, Andrew Garibay.

Gloria experienced an unexpected catastrophic stroke that she regretfully was not able to come back from. She was surrounded by her closest family members, while Dave quietly sang to her, when she passed away on Sunday, 11/3/24, at Kaiser Hospital in Fresno.
Gloria was a devout Christian all her life and never faltered in her faith. We know that she loved and believed in Jesus, and that she is reuniting with her parents and her beloved son, Andrew, in heaven.

David and Sara are now dealing with hospital, funeral, and cremation costs at this time. If you are able to help in any way, it would be much appreciated.
An upcoming Memorial and Celebration of Life service information will be updated as soon as possible.

  • As a lifelong friend of Sara Garibay, Jeannie Alemania helped set up this Gofund me fundraiser for the family since they are inundated with other details at this time. All money will be sent direct to the family to assist with funeral expenses. Thank you for your consideration. ️
