Jim Kohama’s story is one of strength, dedication, and patriotic pride. A retired Vietnam veteran, he raised his two young sons as a single father, instilling in them the values of perseverance, honor, and love for their country. As they grew into adulthood, his sons took immense pride in caring for their aging father, supplementing his income and providing him with a sense of purpose by becoming his devoted caregivers.

However, the past few months have brought extraordinary challenges. Jim’s eldest son, always by his father’s side, suffered a severe injury that required medical leave and surgeries. Shortly after, another blow struck the family when Jim’s youngest son was diagnosed with aggressive lymphoma. Amidst these hardships, Jim himself endured a major stroke and, sadly, passed away from complications.

Jim’s sudden and unexpected passing has left his two sons with an overwhelming sense of loss and helplessness. They took great pride in caring for their father, a man who had given so much for his family and his country. Now, faced with the burden of unexpected expenses, they find themselves in a position they never imagined—having to ask for help.

There is an urgent need to cover the funeral expenses and provide Jim with the dignified farewell he deserves. His sons are determined to honor their father’s memory, but they need your assistance to pay the funeral home and ensure Jim can be put to rest.
