Help Honor Keita's Memory and Support Her Children
Donation protected
Hello everyone!
We are Fradrione (Shae) Chatman and Myeasha (Easha) Chatman and we are fundraising to lay our older sister, Ilunga (Keita) Washington to rest and help support her children. Keita departed this life on Tuesday, June 4th suddenly. Unbeknownst to us, our sister was under heavy financial strain and facing eviction. The intended lockout was to occur on June 6, 2024. Due to the circumstances, the court has granted a 10-day delay on the lockout.
Keita was a mother, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend to many. We are heartbroken by her loss. Her children Steven & Sabel were residing at home with their mother and will need to move. It is unimaginable that they must bury their mother and leave their home all within 2 weeks.
Keita was a breast cancer survivor who was denied life insurance coverage due to her pre-existing medical conditions. She was unable to work at the time of her passing and was also denied social security disability. She truly exhausted all efforts to keep her household afloat and we believe this stress is what contributed to her untimely passing from an aneurysm.
We seek only to honor her memory and the love we have for her by providing a beautiful homegoing and bridging the gap with her children to be supported as they find their new normal, without their mother.
Any and all donations are truly appreciated.
Lovingly submit for our Keita,
Shae & Easha
