Help Honor Lloyd Lacanlale's Memory

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Peter Lloyd Lacanlale.

In the early hours of Wednesday, August 7, 2024, Lloyd and our mother were struck by a drunk driver on Interstate 80. Tragically, Lloyd was pronounced dead at the scene. Thankfully, our mother survived with less severe injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.

Lloyd was an extraordinary father, brother, son, uncle, cousin, and friend. His warmth and acceptance touched everyone he met. Known for his great sense of humor and a beautiful singing voice he was often shy about sharing, Lloyd found his greatest joy in his daughter, Leiyana, and cherished all his nieces and nephews. Despite the challenges he faced, his unwavering faith in God gave him strength and hope, allowing him to overcome every obstacle.

Lloyd was laid off from his job in September of last year. On the day of his passing, he was thrilled to receive an offer for a new position at UCSF Health in the nutrition department, set to begin in the first week of September. He excitedly shared this wonderful news with everyone he loved.
