Help honor my abuelito Orlando Fernandez

Hello. My name is Bianca, granddaughter to the most amazing man Orlando Fernandez. He was not only a grandfather but a great grandfather, a father, a husband, and a friend. I had the privilege to watch him be an amazing partner to my grandmother Marie, this year they would have celebrated 70 years in total being together, soulmates since the age of 14. My grandfather came to this country from Cuba and served it while serving in the United States Army. I got the call 07/25/24 he was being admitted to the hospital and then another on 07/27/24 that his body was failing him. He had a nasty blood infection causing organ failure due to the neglect from his nursing home, only being there 4 weeks. Of course our family was devastated and heartbroken. God called him home 07/30/2024. Few know how to prepare for something like this and we are lost. My grandfather did not have a will, no money put to the side for funeral expenses and this economy does not make it any easier. We were able to find a crematory that will provide services at a more economical cost and are asking for any donations, whatever you are able to spare. My family would greatly appreciate the support. May God continue to bless each and every one of you.
