Help honor Ray with a memorial bench at the Detroit Zoo

Donation protected
Hey everyone! I’m Jill, I was Ray’s sister-in-law. Since Rays passing we have been trying to find a good place to honor Ray, as well as a place for his family to feel they can be with him. We have tried contacting a few cities to see if we can plant a memorial tree for him with no luck; especially Rosie’s park as he had built so many memories there since childhood. Being that he was cremated, finding a place of comfort has been a challenge financially. Essentially, we would like to place a memorial bench at the Detroit Zoo in honor of Ray. This will give his family and friends, his children most importantly, a place to continue grieving and find comfort. A place they can go to when they feel they need to talk to him or just simply miss him. Ray was a father to three beautiful children. He loved them and his family deeply. He had a love for motorcycles, softball, hunting and fishing. He loved to make people laugh. His children adored him. Please help any way you can, any contribution is sincerely appreciated.

For those who are unfamiliar with the story, Ray was murdered on August 8th, 2021. His life was taken by another man with a gun. He was shot in the back four times while he ran for his life. You can read articles about that night on Google and macomb daily.
