Honoring Joshua Mark “Rocky” Flores Ramirez
Rocky was always a special child who loved spending time with his seven uncles. His uncle, Jesus, was proud of his nephew and says, “He wanted to be like us and have a family and a good life. Even though he didn’t have much, he always wanted to help others.”
Just like his uncles, Rocky achieved the dream of becoming a father and a family man. He was a stepfather to Angela, 11, and Santino, 12, and the only one in his extended family to have twins (Bella and Hailey, 7.) Despite these blessings, Rocky experienced many tragedies. Only three years ago, his 23-year-old brother died, and a year later, his mother passed away. Although Rocky and his wife, Helen, had jobs, they needed help with finances and the problems of modern life. Rocky did his best to shine for his family, but the 31-year-old’s life ended abruptly when he died on August 13, 2024.
His uncle said, “No words can describe what it is like to lose Rocky. Our world has turned upside down, and we are overwhelmed with grief.”
His 20-year-old sister, Ruby, said that Rocky had a big heart and always tried to find a way to make people happy. He was generous and recently bought her a used car. “We shared a birthday and were birthday buddies. I’m heartbroken.” His grandmother is in disbelief. This is the third grandchild she has lost in the last three years.
The Flores family is reaching out for support from the public, friends, and family to help with funeral services and burial for their beloved Rocky and extends their gratitude to those who can help.
