In Memory and A Tribute to Roosevelt:
My beloved father Franklin Delano “Roosevelt” Cook recently passed on June 29, 2024. He was a wonderful brother, father, husband, uncle, and friend who touched the lives of those around him.
Roosevelt dedicated his life to his family and friends. He saw a need and was there for families who needed help. He made us laugh and brought cheer everywhere he went. His quick wit and “sayings” made us laugh and brought smiles to our faces. Daddy loved antique cars, bicycling, music, and being with family. He was a hard worker, working for Lord & Taylor, United States Postal Service, and Dulles Airport to name a few. We love and miss him so much.
We are all devastated by Roosevelt’s loss and were not prepared for the high cost involved in end-of-life expenses. He had the type of insurance that dwindles down the longer you live. We want to give my Daddy the memorial he deserves to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes.
I am deeply moved and profoundly grateful for the generous contributions thus far for Daddy’s funeral costs, cemetery costs, and end-of-life expenses. We are still short approximately $6000.
Your prayers and support are greatly appreciated.
