Help Honor Shane with a Grave Marker

Hey everyone. My name is Christina. Shane was my brother, friend and most importantly, the father of my nephew. Shane was never given the opportunity to meet his son because of such a tragic and senseless event that happened 11 years ago.

Eleven years have passed by and there was never a grave marker put down on his final place of rest. To me, it is so sad to go and visit his grave and have to just sit in the grass with nothing. Nothing to look at, not seeing his name, nothing. Just a bare spot of grass, that if you did not know exactly where he was buried, then you would never know if you were in the right spot. I feel as if we have all failed him in a way. How can we go this long without making that right for him?

My nephew is 10 years old. He never got to meet his dad. He only has the few pictures his mama has saved from their relationship together and the stories we all share with him. One day, he may want to go to his dad's grave and sit and talk. We at least owe him that much to have a marker there for him.
