Help Honor Sierra's Life and Legacy

I am heartbroken to share that my daughter, Sierra R. McDowell, a 30-year-old mother and sister, gained her angel wings on Saturday, December 7, 2024, after complications from Type 1 Diabetes. Despite her unwavering strength and determination, Sierra’s health took a devastating turn over the last 23 months where she was in ICU on 5 occasions - the last time she was in a medical induced coma and on life support. Along with facing the daily challenges of living with diabetes, Sierra struggled with other challenges in life. She fought hard to overcome obstacles and live her life for her daughter.
Sierra leaves behind her beautiful and amazing 10-year-old daughter, ReighLynn, who was her source of joy and motivation through her toughest moments. As a mother, Sierra always dreamed of a bright future for and with her child, but the reality of Sierra's illness came much too soon.
In this time of unimaginable grief, I am doing everything I can to support my daughter and granddaughter. I am now faced with the financial burden of funeral and cremation services. These expenses are difficult for me as I am single and on SS Disability due to my health. I am asking for your help to ease this burden, so Sierra can be honored with the dignity she deserves, and I and my family can focus on grieving and healing.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly to covering Sierra’s cremation expenses and will help me provide a beautiful Celebration of Life Funeral during this challenging time. This will include bringing in to town family and friends for Sierra's celebration. Your support will also ensure that Sierra's daughter is cared for and given the emotional and financial stability she needs as she moves forward without her mother.
Please consider donating to support Sierra and my family. Your kindness, generosity, love, and prayers are deeply appreciated.
Thank you for helping us honor
Sierra's memory and give her the peaceful farewell she deserves.
