Help Honor Stacie's Life and Legacy

Donation protected
Stacie's sudden and unexpected death has placed a lot of weight on her two children. She lived alone and did not have income, life insurance, or funeral arrangements. She was also in the middle of moving and her children must move and store all of her things. Any contributions toward her celebration of life extravaganza or her cremation is very much appreciated.

Stacie Ellen Lewis Santo, 61, of Jacksonville, FL passed away peacefully in her bed on October 13, 2024.

Stacie was a Georgia Peach born in Valdosta, often moving from place to place during her childhood, being the daughter of a pilot for the US Air Force. Her parents eventually moved back home to Jacksonville, where she graduated from Edward White High School in 1981. She was a member of the yearbook staff and participated in the Miss Ed White Pageant, performing a modern jazz routine. She would always dance like Madonna but tell everyone that Madonna stole all her moves and outfits. Stacie was known for her bright, humorous personality and gorgeous, sparkling red hair. She was a trendsetting diva and made or bedazzled many of her ensembles, who always claimed she was “cool before cool was cool.” She loved to drive her dad’s white Corvette around town with her girlfriends, stealing hearts as she drove by.

Stacie worked at the post office out of high school but was happiest being a homemaker and raising her two children. Her passion was antiquing, where she would always find elaborate gold picture frames and creepy pictures of dolls that hauntingly stared at you on her walls. Oftentimes, she was found refurbishing and selling old furniture that she bargained for on Craigslist or snatched off the side of the road. She could be frequently seen around town showing off her trendy leopard outfits with the purse and shoes to match. She would often say, "Leopard doesn’t go with anything, so it goes with everything!" Stacie was full of life and confidence. She knew everything! You could never tell her she was wrong because she wouldn’t believe you anyway. She was ALWAYS right!

Stacie was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Brown Lewis, and her mother, Jennie Louise Mizelle Lewis. She is survived by her two children Ashlee Lauren “Ava” Grant (Cory B. Hansens) and Travis Chandler Santo; light of her life grandchild, Vander Richmond Tate; sister and cat lover, Terrie Linda Lewis.

Her Celebration of Life will be hosted at 4724 Park St Jacksonville, Fl 32205 on Sunday October 27th, 2024 at 3:00pm. We will have food and DJ Sparks playing all her favorite music. BYOB because Stacie loved a good party. We are asking that all guests attend wearing something leopard to honor her in style. Flowers can be sent to the address above.
