Help Honor the Legacy and Final Wishes of Kenny Proctor

Hello everyone,
I know that many of you have been curious to know what happened with dad, and I apologize for the time it has taken to provide an update. First and foremost, I'd like to share that he passed away peacefully in his home this past Saturday, May the 10th. We all knew that he was struggling with his health, but his recent retirement announcement left me hopeful that the opportunity to rest would allow him to heal up. I truly believe that his best days were ahead of him, and it hurts my heart to know he was robbed of them.
Dad was known and loved by a lot of folks, and I'd like to address each of them here:
His work colleagues knew him as KP. He was as hard a working, dedicated, and seasoned individual as there is in the used truck industry. It has been an honor to hear how respected and loved he truly was as a businessman. Dad was exceptionally proud of his work, and it warms my heart to know how much the people he dedicated his career to appreciated him. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to share their condolences. I look forward to hearing the stories and experiences you shared with the old man!
His friends knew him as many things; from a hard-nosed left hander from Lincoln, to a party looking for a place to happen. He was a trusted confidant and he loved hard. One of my favorite quotes from one of his favorite movies, Young Guns, states, "You only get three or four good pals in your life. If you have those, then you've got yourself a tribe." I know that he was proud to be one of y'alls good pals, and a member of many a tribe throughout his lifetime.
To his family, he was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and Grandad. My sister and I knew him as Pops. He was my hero growing up, and was the biggest fan I've ever had. We relished all our good days and took the bad ones head on together. I will miss him every day for the rest of my life.
Funeral arrangements for Kenny are pending, and I will provide an update on Facebook when they are completed. In the meantime, costs have started to add up and there are more to come as we work to get him home and laid to rest with our family in Missouri.
That is the reason for creating this fund. Any donations will help us see his wishes through to honor his life and legacy.
Thank you in advance for anything you can do to help.
