Help Hope Get To The Mayo Clinic
Donation protected
I've known Hope for a good while. We've been the best of friends for over 15 years now. (Holy moly!) And I'm so grateful that she's been able to continue to be a part of my life and now Fred's, too!
One of my most cherished memories is from when Hope and I were about 16 or 17, hanging out at Starbucks in December. There was a large cardboard box in the corner of the store for coat donations. Without a second thought, Hope took off her own coat and placed it in the box. Inspired by her selflessness, I knew I had to do the same.
This moment perfectly captures the kind of person Hope is—someone who cares deeply for others and acts on that compassion without hesitation. Over the years, I've lost count of how many times I've mentioned having a rough day, only to find a pizza delivery at my door, sent by Hope to lift my spirits. Her generosity is endless, and now she's teaching her daughters to carry on that same spirit of kindness.
In November 2023, Hope suddenly became septic and was rushed to the hospital. Her blood pressure plummeted, and things looked dire. But against all odds, Hope pulled through. The doctors can't explain it, but I believe it's a testament to the good she’s put out into the world.
However, the aftermath of her sepsis has been tough. She’s been struggling with ongoing health issues, including persistent blood pressure problems. After seeing several doctors, she’s now been referred to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota for further evaluation.
The financial burden of traveling to the Mayo Clinic and caring for her kids is significant, but this is Hope's best chance to get the answers and care she needs. Hope is the last person to ever ask for help, but I know she could really use our support right now.
If you’re able to contribute, even a little, it would mean the world to her and to everyone who loves her. And if donating isn’t possible, I ask that you honor Hope's selfless spirit by doing something kind for a stranger today.
Thank you all so much for your generosity and support. Let's help Hope get the care she deserves.
