Help Hope Rebuild After Devastating Flood

Dearest friends, family, and community,

This is Hope. Hope has lived in the village with her children in the Heartbreak Hotel for many, many years now. As many of you know, this devastating flood caused the destruction of her home along with 12 other folks who lost their beautiful home as well. Hope is a single mother and kindergarten teacher at our local school, Twinfield, and has been a staple of our community for decades. She is strong, generous, and kind. She and her family have lived in this home for years and were able to salvage only a few pieces of clothing and important documents.

Luckily, Hope and her family were able to safely evacuate just in time and are physically safe, but they will need our help to rebuild their lives and find a new place to call their own. As we all know, the cost of living in Vermont is challenging in the best of circumstances and unfortunately, renters insurance does not cover flood damages so there will be little to no assistance. This family has lost everything except each other. Our goal is to help them secure a new home and allow them to begin to collect necessities. Please consider helping in any way possible.
