Help HopeDivine fit out our new church building

Hi, my name is Jason, and I'm the pastor at HopeDivine Pentecostal Church in Cairns, Far North Queensland. Our church has been growing, and we've had to move to a new building. And our lease expired, and we were asked to move.

While we would have preferred to have saved some more money for our building fund, we're glad we've moved, as it has given us an amazing place to grow into. However, there are a few outstanding projects that we need to accomplish in a short amount of time - and any help you can give would be a blessing to us.

Project One - Roof & Insulation. This is a major project, and our building owner had originally agreed to take care of the roof for us. However, as it took sometime for us to get council approval to occupy the new building, the owner changed her mind, and offered one month of free rent - a vastly cheaper option for her. But it has left a major hole in our budget, and I don't think we will make it through a Cairns summer with out insulation. We've estimated that it is going to cost at least $20,000 for that to be done. This one is critical, as it will affect when we can run church, until it is fixed.

Project Two - Painting. This one we have the crew to do, so it won't cost us the earth in terms of labour. But we do still need to buy paint, and there is quite a bit to do. The masonry blocks on the wall need a coat of sealer, and two top coats. The plan is to paint the front wall black, and the side and back walls a bright white, or maybe an off white. We have estimated paint as costing about $3500

Project Three - Carpet Tiles. We need to lay carpet tiles down, and we're going to do the work ourselves to save money. But even doing the work ourselves will cost approx $30 per square meter, or $7.50 per carpet tile. Our building is 327 square meters, so we're looking at approx. $10,000 for that project as well.

If we raise enough to cover all of that, we would be overjoyed. Anything above our target that is donated, we will put towards doing fit outs. We now have two rooms that can be used for Sunday School, Youth Groups, Bible College, Leaders meetings etc. We have a dedicated kitchen, and we're going to have an amazing foyer area where people can share a coffee and chat. Our vision is to reach our world with the Gospel, to make disciples of all nations, and to create a community where people belong. What we've built looks amazing so far - and you can help bring our project to completion.
