On April 12th 2022 Houari Benkada became one of many victims aboard the Manhattan bound Mta trains at 36th street station in Sunset park Brooklyn. As a result of his injuries, which require further surgical interventions, therapy and recovery, Houari is unable to provide for his family including his mother who happens to be a breast cancer survivor.
