Heart of a Lion: Support Hudson's Medical Journey

Hudson Coombs, an 8-month-old boy, was born with the extremely rare Weiss-Krusszka Syndrome, a condition with only 25 reported cases worldwide. Hudson recently underwent open heart surgery on July 8th and he is currently fighting to recover from this procedure. The team is currently discussing using a ventricular assist device to offload the stress on his heart and give it time to heal. With this device the rest of his body and organs will be supported without needing to rely on his heart. If his heart doesn't recover the way it needs the rest of his body will be supported and healthy which will allow him to be a candidate for transplant.
