Help Hunter Start Therapy for Autism

"The world needs different kinds of minds to work together."
Hi Everyone,
My name is Hunter and I am 3 years old. I am a joyous little boy who loves to laugh, play in the water, be around dogs, and spend time with my little sister. Recently, I was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), which in simple terms means I have difficulties with communicating, social interaction, and behaviour, so sometimes doing activities and being around people can have its challenges as a kid with ASD.
To help me reach my fullest potential, my doctors say I need to start Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI) as soon as possible, but unfortunately early interventions can be very costly. The Ontario government hasn’t released the Autism Program Budget yet, so parents with Autistic children can either wait for 18 months or pay out of their pocket to get immediate attention. The younger and earlier a child enters IBI, the better the outcome of the treatment. The cost of IBI is $55/hr and I need to do 2 hours per day/10 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months. Our goal is to reach $25,000.
My family and I would be incredibly grateful and appreciate any little contribution towards my therapy costs, so that I can start in the near future. I am starting Kindergarten in September and hope that by then I will be able to get the support and guidance I need to help me succeed in school.

Thank you for taking the time to read Hunter’s story. Again, our family would greatly appreciate any contribution you can make to help us reach our goal and give Hunter the therapy he needs to be the best he can be and succeed in life.
Please share and help us spread awareness about autism in honour of World Autism Awareness Month.
Thank you and God Bless!!
