Help Ibn Mahmud Said Translate Shaykh al-Islam's Treatise

Salam Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

The following is a long needed project that attempts to critically translate a brief treatise authored by Shaykh Al Islam ibn Taymiyyah that can be located within Majmu al-Fatawa. The short letter covers the subject of Allah's speech being a multiplicity of sounds and words based on the statements by the likes of Imam Ahmad b. Hanbal and al-Bukhari, along with reports from the hadith tradition and the ayat of the Quran. Ibn Taymiyyah starts with giving a brief understanding of each theological position prior to giving strong rebuttals to what they adhere to.

This translation project will contain a critical introduction highlighting the Greek and Christian origins of the Ashari, Maturidi, Jahmi and Mu'tazili worldview with plenty scholarly citations and brief commentaries throughout.

Due to certain circumstances, this translation process cannot be accomplished without financial assistance due to the continuous familial, parental, economic and medical difficulties dramatically slowing down the task. For the past 5 years, there has been a consistent struggle in trying to maintain a stable life with not much success due to the continuous impact of family separation, parenting, and severe medical trials. With your support, however, such a dream can become a reality by the will of Allah SWT; helping the Muslim world draw closer to what the righteous predecessors believed, increase them in faith and equip us to refute such heretics who wish to tarnish the beliefs of (Ahl as-Sunnah wa al-Jama'aa).

When the project is complete and published — in sha’ Allah — there will be a set of free copies distributed and sold as an act of gratitude in assisting in the accomplishment of this goal. This is not just a mere intellectual investment for those who can support, but it is also an investment into your akhira (afterlife) as you will be rewarded for every single letter that is read from in this treatise.
