Help Ibrahim and his family evacuate from Gaza

This fundraiser is organised for our former LPC UWC classmate (2006-2007) Ibrahim Abu Subaih from Gaza, Palestine. Some of you will remember that sadly Ibrahim was never allowed to return to Hong Kong to finish his IB diploma at LPC as Israel refused to let him cross the checkpoint and fly back for his final year of high school.

Ibrahim has been living in Gaza ever since, is married and has two beautiful children. However, as you are all aware, for the last two months, Gaza has been under constant bombardment by the Israeli forces with, so far, more than 20,000 people killed and trapped under the rubble and more than 50,000 injured. 1.8 million Gazans have been displaced from their homes and Ibrahim with his family is one of them. Ibrahim and his family left his family home in Khan Younis due to IDF's evacuation orders and the intensified bombing of the area. They were forced to relocate with his family to Rafah. Nevertheless, no place in Gaza is safe and Rafah has been also a target during Israel's airstrikes.

On top of that, food, fuel, and water are now extremely scarce in Gaza, with people facing starvation and illnesses in the increasingly cold temperatures.

In the face of this horror and destruction, Ibrahim is trying to evacuate from Gaza with his family through the Rafah border to Egypt and desperately needs our help.

This fundraiser aims to contribute to the costs Ibrahim and his family will face while evacuating, including fees for safe passage to Egypt, initial accommodation and living expenses while in Egypt, medical expenses and any further immigration/legal fees.

Please share this campaign with other UWC alumni, students, teachers as well as your friends, family and colleagues to help us reach our goal and help Ibrahim and his family to safely evacuate.

We also urge everyone to use whatever means they can to call for an immediate ceasefire.
