Help Ibrahim leave Gaza for Ankle Reconstruction Surgery
Donation protected
Dear donators,
My name is Dr. Yusuf Abdallah, and I am reaching out to you today to request your urgent support for Ibrahim Al-Zard, a Palestinian father and husband currently facing severe medical challenges in Gaza.
Ibrahim, like countless other civilians in Gaza, was injured by Israeli occupation forces. While attempting to collect food aid for his family, he was shot in the foot, which caused severe damage to his ankle joint. This injury has left him unable to work or care for his family. He is in desperate need of surgery to replace the damaged joint, but due to the lack of medical resources in Gaza, this life-saving procedure can only be performed outside the region.
A message from Ibrahim:
Hello, my name is Ibrahim Al-Zard, and I am a Palestinian living in Gaza. I am writing to ask for your help in securing funds for a critical surgery. I am married and have a young daughter, but due to my disability, I am unable to provide for my family’s basic needs. We are struggling to survive under the dire conditions in Gaza.
My injury occurred while I was trying to collect food aid. I was shot by Israeli occupation forces, and the bullet severely damaged my left ankle joint. Now, I urgently need surgery to replace the joint, but there are no facilities in Gaza capable of performing this operation. The medical care I need is expensive, and I do not have the means to afford it.
As the Lancet medical journal reports, the number of civilian casualties and injuries in Gaza has likely surpassed 180,000. Ibrahim is just one among the many who have been caught in this ongoing humanitarian crisis. Your support can help him receive the treatment he desperately needs and provide his family with a chance for a better future.
Thank you for your generosity and compassion during this critical time.
Sincerely,
Dr. Yusuf Abdallah
