Help Idaho Students Simulate Government
Donation protected
Hello, I’m Will Sharon, the president and founder of our local Youth in Government club. It is a program run by the YMCA where students from all over Idaho come together for 2 days and simulate the 3 branches of government. Students participate in the legislative branch, where students get to physically go into the Idaho state capitol building house and senate chamber and debate bills THEY WRITE. Students also form “co-consul” teams to argue the supreme court case given to them by the YMCA to simulate the judicial branch. Finally, students at regional conferences elect students into higher level positions, and at the state conference, we vote on our next year's Youth governor to simulate the executive branch. On top of this, there are lobbyists and reporters and so much more.
We are raising funds for our state conference at the end of April. We appreciate any support! Thank you!
