Help iesha fight Thyroid cancer!!

Hello everyone, my name is iesha. I am 30 years young. A mama to 3 beautiful babes! As many of you know I was diagnosed with papillary thyroid carcinoma. (Thyroid cancer) November 14, 2022. I started to have a lot of throat pain back in October. My voice sounded different and it was hard to swallow. My PCP told me that it was just a viral infection. But my body was telling me that something more was going on. So I got a second opinion. After a lot of testing, bloodwork, CT scans, endoscopy, and a couple of different ultrasounds that finally led to me having multiple nodules on my thyroid which then had to be biopsied. After finding out that I have cancer & the unknown of what to come is by far the scariest thoughts I have ever had. On February 1st 2023 I will undergo my first surgery ever, a full thyroidectomy. This means that I will be out of work for 3 to 4 weeks. My husband recently started his own handyman business! But because I will be down for a few weeks he also will be out of work taking care of me and our three kiddos. I wish that after surgery I was in the clear… But after that it is just more waiting for pathology reports then a full body scan to make sure the cancer hasn’t spread elsewhere. As of now there is a possibility that I may also have to undergo radiation treatments. I am very thankful that I have insurance that will cover most of the cost of my surgery & upcoming visits. I don’t want to be a burden on my family. At the same time I know that any possibility of financial help would be simply amazing for my family and I to help cover the cost of medication‘s as I will have to take a thyroid hormone replacement pill every day for the rest of my life. This will help also cover bills and rent so that we can continue to live and focus on my family and my health. Anything truly helps and will be greatly appreciated! If you cannot afford to donate please send your love and prayers! I am so grateful for this life I am grateful for my family and my friends and most of all my babies! I will fight as long as it takes!! Thank you for reading please feel free to share my story. I will also have my husband give an update after surgery!! Thank you & God bless
