Help Ilham with her newborn & rebuild her life in Gaza

Hello, My name is Ilham Hassan I live in Gaza. I have been communicating with desperate appeal to provide help to myself and my family. We are facing unimaginable hardship in Gaza surviving every day for the past whole year where safety and peace seem to be a dream.

During this year, I gave birth to my newborn, Mohammed, via a C-Section. Mohammed is doing well all praise is due to Allah and I had complications through the surgery (my pregnancy is classified as high risk pregnancy with hypertension and placenta pre-via and previous 4 CS and there is a danger on myself and my child lives) there was an internal bleeding and in normal cases I would have been monitored in the hospital, but due to collapsing medical conditions and the many injured people the medical staff tries to save, I was let go home. I am doing well now and my son is doing well and well means we are gladly still alive.

My first baby died, I live with my husband and have 3 children in difficult situation. My son got hepatitis during this difficult time and can't get any treatment as it is not available and the health care system already collapsed. We were displaced from Gaza city on 13 of October, as we were directed the the Israeli occupation forces to move to the so called safe area in south of Gaza, and went to my sister’s house. We stayed with my other family members, relatives and other friends for at my sister's for 3 months. Then again were received a leaflet requesting us to evacuate the residential area and head to the southern Gaza on Rafah City. Lived a little in tent in camp in very difficult conditions lacking a decent life and proper living conditions suffering from cold, illness, lack of food, unclean water and safety. Then we rented a house to live with other relatives of 15 persons because of exorbitant rent prices. We were unable to pay the rent of the house monthly, so we returned to my sister's house although the area is unsafe to live and constantly bombarded with rockets. The situation in Gaza has escalated to where every moment is fraught with danger and living becomes resistance. I am now homeless and very sad for the loss of my home that we worked all of our lives to build which was flattened during this unprecedented war.

Situation in Gaza worsens over time as the basic needs are not available and when available they are at an unreasonable high price that none can afford. We are struggling to find diapers, milk and baby clothes. This is among all the struggle we are living through. These basic baby needs are not available at most of the time and when available they are very expensive.

Currently I would say there is no hope; no flour and whenever is available it is very expensive (200+USD for 25kg), no baby formula nor diapers. The basics and essentials are very rare to find and very expensive when available, the situation overall is truly difficult and none can endure

I wish none has to go through what we are going through, and I seek your hearts to help us get through it safely.
