HELP ILKNUR'S FAMILY FOR EARTHQUAKE RELIEF

We are devastated by the catastrophic earthquakes that struck Turkiye and Syria this past Monday morning. The Southeastern region of Turkiye lays across three major fault lines -- the shifting of the tectonic plates resulted in two earthquakes, registered at 7.8 and 7.5, as well as a number of powerful aftershocks that are expected to continue for many days ahead. These earthquakes leveled whole cities in the impact zone -- thousands have perished and many more sustained life-threatening injuries.

Please consider helping Ilknur Huyuk and her family through this horrific time. As Ilknur's friend and coworker, I am sorry to report that she and her husband have lost multiple family members in Hatay/Antakya within days of each other; the deceased were pulled from the rubble of collapsed buildings. The surviving members of Ilknur's family will likely also sustain the impact of long-term physical, mental and emotional damages.

Not only is Ilknur a loving mother to three children and a devoted wife, but she is also a prominent figure in her community. She is the definition of a helper -- she volunteers whenever she can within the Turkish community. Ilknur works with the NYPD as a school crossing guard, helping children to safely and effectively cross the street. She is a devoted individual -- Those who know her speak highly of her.

We are collecting funds on her behalf to finance the following:

- Medical costs that may arise for any surviving family fighting for their lives

- Funeral costs, in the event that the government is unable to provide

- Travel costs to Turkiye to make the necessary arrangements

- Repair/rebuilding costs to house surviving family

- Loss of pay from work due to her immediate travel to the impact zone
