Help Ilona Ross fight cancer
Donation protected
Hi. We are Gloria and Tamika, and we are raising money for our friend Ilona Ross, who was diagnosed with colorectal cancer and needs financial help. Cancer transcends every color, creed, race, religion and political viewpoint that exist on this planet. The pursuit of good health should be an equal opportunity for all human beings to enjoy. Unfortunately, the healthcare system is broken.
We are asking $72,000 because that is the estimate for her out-of-pocket costs over the next two years.
A journalist who once worked at The Associated Press, Ilona now writes as an unpaid independent voice seeking betterment for the community. She advocates for public transportation, the environment, and integrity in government. She has volunteered at local charities packing and delivering meals to people in need. She is committed to producing podcasts with doctors, scientists and experts on cancer in hopes of sharing information with others undertaking a similar journey.
Ilona needs our help now. She is alone and overwhelmed.
This past spring, Ilona was diagnosed after a colonoscopy, and even though she immediately started treatment, the cancer metastasized to Stage IV. She needs help NOW to do everything in her power to avoid further spread. Standard of care is seldom successful with Stage IV, and it takes much more to keep cancer at bay.
Ilona has done everything possible on her own behalf, down to selling her belongings and asking for donations from cancer support groups that sporadically provide gas cards for treatment transportation.
Cancer is a huge financial burden. She lives alone on a fixed income, which does not come close to covering what she needs for medical care that will help her survive. Ilona can’t afford co-pays, gas to get to appointments, and even several prescribed medicines – insurance pays for some, but not all. She needs these meds and the integrative oncologists’ expertise so she doesn’t compromise her chances of survival.
She urgently needs financial support, and we pray you can see in your heart to donate. No amount is too small.
Several protocols that work synergistically with standard of care are not covered by insurance, yet many times they have been highly effective in extending life, and sometimes even reversing disease. This may be her only chance to beat cancer.
We appreciate any support you can offer. We will continue to post updates here. Please donate anything you can, then take a second to click “Share” to help get her story out. It would mean the world.
Thank you again for your generosity and kindness.
