Help Imad &his family survive the war in Palestine

I am helping a dear friend create a GoFundMe for himself and his family as the rise in violence continues in the West Bank. Imad has a goal of $25,000 in hopes of coming to the states with his family, and all funds will be sent to Imad’s account through the Bank of Palestine:

Hello friends, my name is Imad Refai and I am from Nablus, Palestine. I am writing to you all to ask for your generosity in helping keep me and my family safe amidst the increasing violence we face here. I hesitated a lot before doing so because I am not used to being in this position. Normally, I am a fortunate person with the means to travel and enjoy life. And normally, I hold a yearly fundraiser to help poor and displaced people in Palestine and don’t have worries about my own safety or livelihood. Fortunately, I was able to do that like I always have but now must, with a heavy heart, and only after much thought have a second fundraiser— this time for myself and my family. Our life in Nablus has become terrifying and we cannot even leave our homes without fear we will be killed by soldiers.

I spent the last 8 years—my adulthood thus far— showing foreign visitors the beauty and culture of Palestine. I can’t do that anymore because we are no longer safe here. The occupation will never take away my dream of living in a world where all people know how wonderful Palestine and our people are, but for now it has changed how I pursue that dream. I hope with your help to move somewhere safe with my family, and to build a business that showcases Palestinian products and supports Palestinian lives and prosperity.

Estoy ayudando a un querido amigo a crear un GoFundMe para él y su familia mientras continúa el aumento de la violencia en Cisjordania.
