Help Iman Yacut on Her Journey to Recovery

Donation protected
Shortly after celebrating her 30th birthday, my sister Iman’s life took a heartbreaking turn. For the past two years, she has been bravely battling kidney failure caused by Valley Fever and undergoing dialysis while awaiting a transplant. Despite the challenges, Iman has remained resilient, navigating the healthcare system and preparing for the extensive testing required for her transplant. We are hopeful our brother, Sammy, will be her donor, but the journey has been far from easy.

Recently, Iman faced an unexpected complication when she noticed her toe was black and lacking blood flow—a serious concern for diabetics. On October 27th, she admitted herself to the hospital, where doctors discovered that the infection had spread to her foot and leg. In the weeks that followed, Iman endured several surgeries to try to save her foot, but tragically, the infection persisted. On New Year’s Eve, she made the incredibly difficult decision to have her foot amputated. Since then, her road to recovery has been filled with unimaginable hurdles, including additional health complications requiring time in the ICU.

Her fight is not over. Iman is currently remaining in the hospital as she recovers from her final amputation above the knee, a life-saving effort to stop the infection from going any further. As she heals from this surgery, she’s currently working on physical therapy and rehabilitating her body. Throughout this ordeal, her strength and courage have been extraordinary. While she silently battles these challenges, her family—our father Moe, mother Semira, sister Yasmine, and brother Sammy—has been by her side every step of the way, providing constant care and love.

Iman is a special soul: kind, loving, and cherished by everyone who knows her. Her determination and positivity have inspired us all, even as she grieves the loss of a limb and prepares to adapt to a new life with a prosthetic. Her workplace, The Henry, along with close friends and family, have shown incredible support, for which we are deeply grateful. We are also extremely thankful to the healthcare professionals who have cared for Iman during this time. Their efforts have been a source of comfort during this emotional journey for the Yacut family.

The funds raised will go directly toward Iman’s medical bills, her prosthetic, family support, and expenses while she is unable to work at this time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a tremendous difference in helping Iman heal and rebuild her life.

Thank you for your love, prayers, and generosity. We are endlessly grateful for your support during this challenging time.
