Help Imani Evans Baskin Rebuild WHW

The first meeting of Women Healing Women was held in the Atlanta, GA living room of founder Imani Evans in 2004. Many venues in the Little Five Points community served as meeting places for the organization after its founding, from churches to bookstores to community centers. The Women Healing Women organization had found itself a permanent location until February 14, 2019, when a fire engulfed the office park which housed it.

Women Healing Women and Imani have helped many women over the years through counseling services, support groups, and workshops tailored to giving survivors the tools to rebuild their lives. We are now asking for help to rebuild the organization itself, to find a new home where survivors can come together to heal and to thrive.
As a survivor herself, eliminating domestic violence and empowering women and young girls, especially those in marginalized communities, has been a lifetime goal for Imani Evans. Her work for Women Healing Women has been a labor of love.
We are AMAZED at the number of people who have come out to help us salvage what we can, who have reached out to see what they can do to help us recover. We are truly blessed to know there are so many people who believe in the work of Women Healing Women, and the countless women and girls who have been helped through the years. THANK YOU so much for your support.
Any money raised through this GoFundMe will go towards securing a new location for Women Healing Women, any associated build-outs when a new location is found, and helping to pay for costs accrued from the fire, such as storage for the items salvaged from the building. Any funds raised above the amounts needed will go directly towards the organization.
