Help Iman & Helmi Rebuild Their Lives

I am Iman Sadeq, an architect and my husband, Helmy Shurrab, is a lawyer and aluminum trader from Gaza . We stand before you trying to secure our family after our great loss in the war.

We live in miserable conditions in the Mawasi al-Qarara tents in the southern Gaza Strip. It is difficult for me to find the words to describe what we face every day in Gaza. There is no food, no medicine, no clean drinking water, and the oppression, helplessness, psychological pressures, doubts and daily traumas we live through. In Gaza, it's not just hunger, disease and fear; Rather, it means actual death.

Now I find myself in this difficult situation, and I humbly ask you to come forward and save our lives, especially my daughter who is only 3 years old. I have seen difficult days and grew up under difficult circumstances. The situation in Gaza has become unbearable due to slow death as a result of suffering, thirst, displacement, the spread of diseases, and continuous bombing.

Since October 7, due to the continuous bombing of Gaza, we have been displaced from our homes in Khan Yunis. I have been displaced eleven times. Currently, we are living in a tent in Mawasi al-Qarara, unfortunately with very low humanitarian requirements.

Lack of food and toilets, difficult weather, living in a plastic tent under high summer temperatures, and in every sense of the word we do not have the basics of life.

The months that passed were filled with hell and horror. This war is long-term, and our mental health is at risk. We have reached a point where there is no longer hope for Gaza. Are we waiting for death? Even if a ceasefire is reached, the bloodshed in Gaza will not be able to be quickly repaired

Unfortunately, our house was completely destroyed, and during a short truce I was able to record a video of it. I am saddened to see my home destroyed, and I have lost hope that my children will never be able to sleep in their home.

Please help me cover the monthly expenses during the war, in addition to contributing to getting us out of Gaza. Your help will contribute greatly to alleviating our suffering. I hope you will share my story with your friends and family.
