Help Improve Pediatric Cancer Survival
Donation protected
Cancer is the #1 disease killing children today yet only 5% of all cancer research funding is given to childhood cancer. Together we are going to do something about that.
My son Dylan was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma in Sept. 2020 at the age of 17. He passed away January 25, 2022. Rhabdomyosarcoma is a highly aggressive, rare form of pediatric cancer. Over the last 40 years there have been no significant improvements in survival rates or treatments for rare, hard to treat cancers like Dylan’s, highlighting the need for new, less toxic treatment options.
The 1st annual Hearts of Gold gala fundraiser for childhood cancer research is taking place on February 9th, 2023. This event is meant to raise awareness about childhood cancer and raise much needed funds for research. It will be a fun, informative and inspirational evening of live music, casino games, silent and live auctions and more at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre. Tickets are $50 and being sold online through the Chilliwack Cultural Centre. Additional donations are gratefully accepted.
ALL money raised is in support of the Michael Cuccione Foundation at BC Children's Hospital and 2 other facilities that are researching to find better, less toxic treatments for rare, aggressive pediatric cancers:
- Dr. Noah Federman at UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center
- Dr. Charles Keller at Children’s Cancer Therapy Development Institute (CC-TDI)
Thank you for your support!
