Help in Jennifer Glose’s Multiple Myeloma Journey

Our mom graduated from college at 41 years old, as a single mom to me and my sister, and it was the most proud she had ever been. From there, she went on to raise thousands of dollars, creating several charity events for various cancers and the community. And seven years later, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a double mastectomy and another 6 surgeries that followed. As she just reached remission, she has now been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, which is blood cancer. Her body no longer produces healthy blood cells which makes for a dangerously low immune system and the cancer works to weaken and damage the bones. Our mom will undergo infusions of chemo for about 4 months and then will have a stem cell transplant in Philly and will be in the hospital for 2-3 weeks. Prior to the transplant and for months after. there are going to be many trips back and forth to Philly for testing, and many missed days of work to keep her safe at home while her immune system gets more and more compromised. She will not have many, if any, paid days off leftover when it’s time for the transplant and recovery, so please say you will help. Our mom worked so hard after her college graduation to finally purchase our first home. We don’t want her treatment and recovery to make us lose our home.
